The Edge Internet browser is was designed for Windows 10. In the classroom, Edge offers several features to increase efficiency and engagement. Teachers can use Edge's reading view and web notes to quickly clean up text, highlight and pinpoint key ideas for students when instructing.
Locating Edge Browser
If the Edge icon is not on the Start Menu or Task Bar it can be located by searching all apps.
Click the Windows Start Key in the lower left corner of your screen.
Look in All Apps under the letter M for Microsoft Edge.
Right click Microsoft Edge and a pop up window will give you the option to Pin to Start, or click "More" to pin the browser to the task bar.

Reading View allows reading a web article without
distractions.
This function does not work with all websites.
Websites that have the Read View icon grayed out will not work in the read view.
Favorites allow you to bookmark sites and create a Reading list.
Hub keeps the things you collect on the web:
Favorites, Reading List, Browsing History, and Current Downloads
Web Note takes a snapshot of a webpage.
Pan allows you to scroll the article and zoom in and out.
Pen allows you to mark and write on the article.
Highlights can be made in different colors.
Note allows you to type notes on the article.
Web Clip allows you to take clip and paste it in a document, Powerpoint or in OneNote Notebook.
Save allows you to return to this article with all your annotations.
You can save it to OneNote, Favorites or your Reading List.
Share content to various locations. Search the Store for additional locations to share content from Edge. Examples:
